Brine primary filtration occurs in special ceramic candles filters, which provide the following advantages: simple operation, no needed pre-coating, low investment and operational costs and enhanced efficiency.
Multiple filtration stations (two or three) may be installed depending on the feed specifications and the plant needs. Secondary purification section is protected, if necessary, by a colloidal suspension destruction system. Three columns (2 + 1 as guard) are used to enhance the system availability, according to any scientific evaluation of the system reliability.
A high efficiency in purification ensures a long lifetime of the membranes and low electrical consumptions. Final conditioning, with temperature and pH adjustment, enables to provide a ready-to-use brine for electrolysis.
